Ah, yeah, blobbed-linux is bad. I understand the GPL and freedom. The GPL forces users to be good/open. That might sound good on the surface, but IMHO it is unecessary and restrictive. I should be allowed to be a jerk, if I don't bother others. IMHO, *any* license is unecessary and restrictive -- even the WTFPL (it's unecessary :p) -- if your goal is freedom and openness. Levels of Coercion: Microsoft's Licenses... forces you to be an asshole. GPL... forces you to be uber-good. WTFPL... forces you to be whatever you want. null... perfectly open and free.

Good poem. But is it referring to the original linux kernel, or did something happen to it recently? :p (Although, GPL isn't really a "free" license -- it imposes (albeit voluntarily) specific beliefs/behaviors on users. Everything should be released under the WTFPL!)
