Thu, 21 February 2008 Revenge‑driven punitive measures like prisons do not and cannot work. Not only that but the produce results contrary to what they intend to produce, they cause people to increase the level of an anti-social act. This podcast is a criticism and not a search for alternatives, if you want that, you will need to look at Anti-social acts episode, i will also do another one on the related topic of organising to stop anti-social acts. Please note that this podcast is not meant to demean or oppose people who support survivors of the crimes or the survivors and victims of the crimes themselves. I discuss this topic in hope of helping the society to end anti-social behaviour (or at least minimise it), even though i realise that it might label me as being “soft on criminals?.
